In general, stock photographers make approximately $0.35 – $0.50 per sale of an image and $0.80 – $0.90 per sale of a video.

Shutter stock is the best place to sell stock photos. It is the most trusted stock photography website that pays you regularly at the end of every month.

Over the years, Shutter stock paid nearly $600 million to contributors. If you become a shutter stock contributor then you can earn as much you want there is no limit for your earning , the sky really be the limit.

The minimum payout amount for the Shutterstock contributor is $35.

There is a minimum of 45 days from the date of the first sale of your content to make a payment request.

After the 45 days, you can make subsequent payment requests after reaching the payment threshold. 

The minimum payment threshold for Adobe Stock is $25.

Every time if someone purchases your photos, videos then you will get 33% commission for photos and 35% commission for a video.

Alamy pays a 40% commission for direct sale to the contributors. The minimum payout for Alamy stock is $75. 

Alamy pays on the 1st working day of every month if your total cleared balance is over $50.

Difference between Non-Exclusive and Exclusive License:

Non-Exclusive License:

Every contributor will start with a Non-Exclusive License.  

The pictures which you are submitted to the iStock and you can sell the same pictures to third parties stock agencies like shutterstock, Adobe Stock,…………etc

Exclusive License:

Exclusive License is that the pictures which you are submitted to the iStock are not to submit to the other third parties stock agencies like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock,…………etc.

You can submit your stock photos at 500px to get some passive income. 500px also one of the best places to submit your stock photographs.

500px pays nearly 60% commission to the contributors for exclusive license and 500px pays 30% commission for non-exclusive license.

But every sale took nearly 45 days to process. 500px will transfer your amount via check, ACH, PayPal, and Wire Transfer.

If you use wire transfer for payout then 500px took 15$ – $26 as processing charges and $5 processing fee for e check or Local bank transfer.
