The first meeting of the World Health Organisation by the World Health Assembly was conducted on 24 July 1948. Andrija Stampar was the first Assembly president to WHO and Brock Chisholm was appointed as director-general of WHO. Later WHO started to research on cancer in 1955. In 1955 Who started to work on smallpox. Nearly 2 million people are dying because of smallpox every year.

In 1979 WHO declared that the smallpox was the first disease in history that is eradicated by human effort and in 1986 WHO started research on HIV / AIDS. The main purpose of WHO is to provide universal health care by curing diseases. WHO is a non-profitable organization that mainly focused on to cure diseases and health issues all over the world. Mainly by two ways World Health Organisation geats revenue to cure diseases and to supply medicines. The first way is by governments of all nations that scaled by income and population and the second way is by private organizations and individuals.
In 1979 the complete eradication of smallpox was the greatest achievement of WHO. At present Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is the director-general of WHO and his salary is about nearly $1,00,00 per year. There are 10 non-permanent united nations that are present in WHO and these countries are Germany, Indonesia, Kuwait, Peru, South Africa, Poland, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire. India is a permanent united Nations member of the WHO.
Gro Harlem Brundtland was the director-general of WHO from 1998 – 2003, Later Lee Jong-Wook became the director-general to WHO from 2003 – 2006, Later Margaret Chan became the director-general to WHO from 2007 – 2017, Later Tedros Adhanom became the director-general to WHO from 2017 and he is still working as a director-general in WHO. At present WHO working on Coronavirus and WHO declared that novel coronavirus as a public health emergency of international.

There mainly six organizations responsible to implement global health agenda across all the United Nations are UNAIDS, WHO, UNICEF, UN Women, UNFPA and World Bank Group and these six organizations also know as Health 6 or H6.
It was established on 26 July 1994 and it a non-governmental organization. The headquarters of UNAIDS was in Geneva, Switzerland. The full form of UNAIDS is United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS). The main aim of UNAIDS was to cure HIV / AIDS.

The full form of UNFPA is United Nations Fund For Population Activities. It was founded in 1969 in New York, USA. The current director-general of UNFPA is Dr. Natalia Kanem. UNFPA supports programs in are conducted in nearly more than 150 countries all over the four geographic regions.
